Syndicate Legal Advisory Services prepares written dispute letters and related correspondence(s), on the forms required in the state and county where the case is or will be filed.
What’s included:
- Intake and information gathering. A structured questionnaire collects your identity information, the credit reports you obtained yourself (for example, from AnnualCreditReport.com), the specific items you believe are inaccurate or outdated, your reasons, and supporting documents such as statements, payment records, and police or identity theft reports.
- Dispute letters to credit reporting agencies. For each item you select, we prepare a dispute letter to Equifax, Experian, and/or TransUnion stating the item, the reason you provide, and a request for reinvestigation, over your signature.
- Direct dispute letters to furnishers. At your direction, we prepare a letter to the creditor or collector that reported the item, stating your dispute and requesting correction.
- Debt validation request (optional - additional fee). If a collector contacted you, we prepare a written request for validation of the debt from the facts you supply.
- Identity theft documents (optional - additional fee). We complete the FTC Identity Theft Report form from your account of events and prepare the fraud alert and security freeze request letters.
- Follow-up letters (optional). If the agency or furnisher responds, we prepare a follow-up letter or a request for the method of verification from the response you provide.
- Complaint forms (optional - additional fee). From facts you supply, we complete a complaint to the state's Department of Financial Protection (or its equivalent) and/or Attorney General.
- Mailing instructions. We provide a mailing checklist recommending certified mail with return receipt and a record-keeping log. You send the letters yourself.
- Dispute tracking log. We provide a log of dates you sent and received responses. It is a record-keeping aid, not a deadline calculation.
- Review and revisions. We make revisions you request to the drafts before signing, within the number of review rounds included in your package.
