Syndicate Legal Advisory Services provides nationwide legal document preparation services for entities preparing applications for Distilled Spirits Plant (DSP) registration and related permits with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). We prepare the DSP Registration, Basic Permit application, and related supporting materials based on the entity information, plant details, and specific instructions you provide.

Documents Commonly Prepared

We prepare documents associated with a TTB DSP Registration & Permit Application, including:

  • Registration of Distilled Spirits Plant (TTB F 5110.41): Completion of the registration form covering the applicant’s identity, operations to be conducted (distiller, warehouseman, processor), plant description, major equipment, production procedures, and other required information, based on the information you supply.

  • Application for Basic Permit Under the FAA Act (TTB F 5100.24): Completion of the basic permit application for beverage spirits operations, based on the information you provide.

  • Distilled Spirits Plant Bond (TTB F 5110.56): Organization and formatting of the bond form (when required for industrial operations or certain beverage operations), based on the information and surety details you supply.

  • Supporting Forms: Organization of Personnel Questionnaires (TTB F 5000.9), Power of Attorney (TTB F 5000.8), Signing Authority forms (TTB F 5100.1), environmental information, or other required supporting materials, based on the documents and information you provide.

  • Organizational and Premises Documents: Organization of articles of incorporation, operating agreements, lease agreements or proof of ownership, and other entity or premises materials, based on the documents you supply.

  • Amendments or Updates: Preparation of amended applications or updates incorporating corrections, based on the corrected or updated details you provide.

Documents are prepared for electronic filing through the TTB’s Permits Online system or for paper submission as applicable. A DSP registration and basic permit are required before establishing and operating a distilled spirits plant for the production, processing, bottling, or storage of beverage or industrial distilled spirits; the application package includes detailed plant descriptions, equipment lists, operational procedures, and personnel disclosures; bonds are required in certain circumstances; clients remain fully responsible for determining the registration and permitting obligations, the accuracy and completeness of all information, timely submission, satisfaction of any bonding or inspection requirements, and compliance with the Internal Revenue Code, the Federal Alcohol Administration Act, and TTB regulations under 27 C.F.R. Part 19 and related provisions.
