Syndicate Legal Advisory Services provides nationwide legal document preparation services for entities preparing registrations and applications for Commuter Air Carrier Authorization or Air Taxi Operator Registration with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). We prepare the applicable OST forms and related supporting materials based on the entity information, operations details, and specific instructions you provide.
Documents Commonly Prepared
We prepare documents associated with a DOT Commuter Air Carrier / Air Taxi Registration Application, including:
Air Taxi Registration (OST Form 4507): Completion of the registration form covering the carrier’s name and addresses, FAA certificate number, type of service, aircraft details, proposed commencement date, U.S. citizenship certification, and other required information, based on the information you supply.
Certificate of Insurance (OST Form 6410): Organization and formatting of the insurance certificate evidencing required liability coverage, based on the information and insurance details you supply.
Commuter Air Carrier Authorization Application Materials: Organization of the formal application under 14 C.F.R. Parts 201 and 302, together with fitness data under Part 204 (including organizational information, key personnel, financial data, aircraft plans, and related exhibits), based on the information you provide.
Supporting Forms: Organization of Agreement 18900 counterpart (OST Form 4523) or other related materials, based on the documents and information you provide.
Organizational and Supporting Documents: Organization of entity formation documents, citizenship affidavits, or other materials referenced in the registration or application, based on the documents you supply.
Amendments or Updates: Preparation of amended registrations or updates incorporating corrections, based on the corrected or updated details you provide.
Documents are prepared for submission to the DOT (via the FAA Technical Programs Branch or Dockets as applicable). Air taxi operators register under 14 C.F.R. Part 298 by filing OST Form 4507 with a certificate of insurance and an $8 fee before commencing on-demand operations; commuter air carriers must obtain a Commuter Air Carrier Authorization by filing a formal application with fitness data under Part 204 and a $670 fee, demonstrating they are fit, willing, and able; both require appropriate liability insurance under Part 205 and are distinct from FAA safety certification; clients remain fully responsible for determining the registration or authorization requirements, the accuracy and completeness of all information, timely submission and fee payment, satisfaction of insurance and other requirements, and compliance with 14 C.F.R. Parts 298, 204, 205, and related provisions.
