We prepare the Application for Federal Firearms License (ATF Form 7/7CR) and related supporting materials based on the entity information, responsible person details, and specific instructions you provide.

Documents Commonly Prepared

We prepare documents associated with an ATF Type 08 FFL Application, including:

  • Application for Federal Firearms License (ATF Form 7/7CR, Form 5310.12/5310.16): Completion of the application covering the applicant’s identity, business premises, type of license requested (Type 08), hours of operation, and other required information, based on the information you supply.

  • Responsible Person Questionnaire (Part B): Completion of the Responsible Person Questionnaire for each responsible person, covering personal identifying information and certifications, based on the information you provide.

  • Supporting Materials Organization: Organization of photographs, fingerprint card references, and other required supporting items based on the documents and information you supply.

  • Amendments or Updates: Preparation of amended applications or updates incorporating corrections, based on the corrected or updated details you provide.

Documents are prepared for paper submission to the ATF Federal Firearms Licensing Center. A Type 08 license authorizes engaging in the business of importing firearms other than destructive devices and ammunition other than for destructive devices or armor-piercing ammunition, and dealing in the same type of items authorized to be imported; it does not authorize importing destructive devices, armor-piercing ammunition, or ammunition for destructive devices; a separate license is required for each business location; each responsible person must complete a questionnaire and provide a photograph and fingerprint card (FD-258); an initial application fee of $150 applies; specific importations generally require separate permits; the ATF conducts background investigations and may conduct an on-site interview; clients remain fully responsible for determining the licensing requirements, the accuracy and completeness of all information, timely submission and fee payment, satisfaction of responsible person and premises requirements, and compliance with the Gun Control Act and ATF regulations under 27 C.F.R. Part 478.
