Syndicate Legal Advisory Services prepares the bankruptcy petition, schedules, and Chapter 13 plan form for an individual’s case, on the forms required in the state and county where the case is or will be filed.
What’s included:
- Intake and information gathering. A structured questionnaire and document checklist collect your identity, household, income, expenses, assets, debts, creditors, recent transfers, prior filings, and supporting records (pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, titles, deeds, loan statements, and any notices of default).
- Petition and statements. We type the Voluntary Petition (Official Form 101), the Statement About Your Social Security Numbers, and the creditor mailing matrix from your answers.
- Schedules and statements. We type Schedules A/B through J, the Declaration About an Individual Debtor’s Schedules, and the Statement of Financial Affairs, entering the figures and descriptions you supply.
- Income and means forms. We enter your figures into Official Form 122C-1 and, if required, 122C-2. We do not choose the method, advise on the result, or interpret how it sets the length of your plan.
- Chapter 13 plan (form entry only). We type your elections and figures into the court’s required Chapter 13 plan form, such as the monthly payment amount, plan length, and the treatment you select for each creditor. We do not recommend or choose a treatment, calculate the minimum payment required by law, or evaluate whether the plan is feasible or confirmable.
- Required disclosures and signatures. We prepare the Disclosure of Compensation of Bankruptcy Petition Preparer, the Notice to Debtor by Non-Attorney Bankruptcy Petition Preparer, and the preparer’s declaration, signature, and identifying number on each document we prepare, as the law requires.
- Credit counseling and debtor education. We provide a checklist reminding you to complete credit counseling from an approved provider before filing, and the post-filing financial management course, which you complete yourself.
- Filing packet and logistics. We provide a filing packet with signature, copy, and filing instructions. At your direction, we can deliver or e-file the documents where the court allows. We do not file anything without your signed authorization.
- Post-filing checklist. We provide a general checklist of dates and items after filing, such as starting plan payments, providing tax returns and pay stubs to the trustee, and what to bring to the Section 341 meeting. We do not prepare you to testify or attend.
- Amendments (optional). If something was omitted or wrong, or the client wants to change the plan, we type amended schedules or an amended plan at your direction, priced separately.
