Syndicate Legal Advisory Services prepares the clients’ answers into official USCIS forms for a marriage-based green card, and organize the clients’ supporting documents.
What’s included:
- Intake and information gathering. A structured questionnaire collects each spouse’s own answers: names and other names used, dates and places of birth, phone numbers, addresses for the past five years, employment, prior marriages and how each ended, children, the dates and place of the marriage, immigration history, and how the foreign spouse last entered the United States.
- Filing path (client’s selection). The clients select, from USCIS’s own published descriptions, whether the foreign spouse is in the U.S. or abroad, and which path they intend to use.
- Form I-130 and I-130A preparation. We prepare the petitioner’s answers on the Petition for Alien Relative and the foreign spouse’s answers on the supplement, from what each spouse states. Each spouse reviews and signs personally.
- Form I-485 preparation (where the clients have selected adjustment of status). We prepare the foreign spouse’s answers on the Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, including the biographic and background questions.
- Form I-864 preparation. We prepare the petitioner’s answers on the Affidavit of Support from the petitioner’s own figures and tax documents, and, if a joint sponsor is used, the joint sponsor’s answers.
- Related forms (optional, selected by the clients). From the clients’ own answers, we prepare Form I-765 (work permit), Form I-131 (travel document), and Form G-1145 (e-notification), and provide a checklist for the Form I-693 medical exam, which only a USCIS-designated civil surgeon may complete.
- Evidence organization. We organize the clients’ own documents into a labeled index, such as the marriage certificate, proof of the end of any prior marriages, passport and visa pages, birth certificates, photographs, joint leases or mortgages, joint bank and insurance records, joint tax returns, and third-party statements the clients choose to include.
- Third-party statements (optional). From a person’s own account, we prepare a sworn statement that the person reviews, corrects, and signs.
- Translation coordination. We provide a checklist reminding the clients that foreign-language documents need a complete English translation with a translator’s certification. We do not translate or certify.
- Filing packets. We provide printable packets for each filing with a document checklist, copy instructions, and the current USCIS filing address or online filing information from the official instructions. The clients review, sign, and file. We do not file for them, and we do not open or use their USCIS online accounts.
- Fee information. We direct the clients to the official USCIS fee schedule and accepted payment forms. We do not collect or transmit any government fee.
- After-filing checklist. A neutral list, from USCIS public guidance, of what the clients may receive: receipt notices, biometrics appointments, a request for evidence, an interview notice, a decision, and, for marriages under two years old at approval, a conditional card with a later petition to remove conditions. We do not advise on what these mean or how to respond.
- Address change reminder. On request, we prepare Form AR-11 from the clients’ information.
- Review and revisions. We make revisions you request to the typed forms before signing, within the review rounds in your package.
