Syndicate Legal Advisory Services provides nationwide legal document preparation services for registered management investment companies and certain exchange-traded funds preparing Form N-PORT monthly portfolio holdings reports under the Investment Company Act of 1940. We prepare Form N-PORT and related supporting materials based on the portfolio data and specific instructions you provide.
Documents Commonly Prepared
We prepare documents associated with a Form N-PORT filing, including:
Form N-PORT (Monthly Portfolio Holdings Report): Completion of the structured report covering portfolio holdings, risk metrics, returns, flows, and other required information as of the last business or calendar day of the month, based on the data you supply.
Related Schedules and Attachments: Organization and formatting of any required schedules of portfolio holdings or other attachments, based on the information you provide.
Amendments (Form N-PORT/A): Preparation of amended reports incorporating updates or corrections, based on the corrected or updated details you provide.
Related Supporting Materials: Organization of any accompanying documentation or information referenced in the form, based on the materials you supply.
Documents are prepared for electronic filing through the SEC’s EDGAR system. Form N-PORT is the monthly portfolio holdings report required of registered management investment companies and exchange-traded funds organized as unit investment trusts (other than money market funds and small business investment companies); under current rules, monthly reports for each month in a fiscal quarter are filed no later than 60 days after the end of the quarter; amendments require more frequent monthly filing within 30 days of month-end with public availability after 60 days (with compliance dates varying by entity size); clients remain fully responsible for determining the filing obligation, the accuracy and completeness of all portfolio and risk data, timely EDGAR filing, and compliance with the Investment Company Act and SEC requirements.
