Syndicate Legal Advisory Services prepares the court forms and supporting documents to request an annulment, on the forms required in the state and county where the case is or will be filed.
What’s included:
- Intake and information gathering. A structured questionnaire collects information about the parties, the date and place of the marriage or partnership, the date of separation, any children, property and debts, and the facts you state as the basis for your request.
- Initiating documents. We prepare the Petition (indicating nullity as the relief requested), Summons, and the required cover sheets and confidential forms. If you are responding to a petition, we prepare the Response.
- Statement of grounds. We prepare the section or attachment on which you state the ground you select (for example, fraud, force, lack of consent, or a prior existing marriage) based on your own statements. We do not choose the ground or evaluate whether the facts support it.
- Disclosure documents. We prepare the Declaration of Disclosure, Schedules of Assets and Debts, and Income and Expense Declarations, if you choose to include requests for property or support orders.
- Children-related forms. Where the parties have children, we prepare custody and parenting-time forms, a proposed parenting plan, and child support worksheets from information you provide.
- Temporary orders (optional). We prepare a Request for Order for temporary custody, support, or property restraints while the case is pending.
- Notice and service documents. We prepare proof of service forms and a service checklist. At your direction, we can arrange service through a registered process server at your cost.
- Default or uncontested judgment documents. We prepare the Request to Enter Default, supporting declarations, the Judgment of Nullity, and Notice of Entry of Judgment, or the stipulated judgment and any settlement agreement the parties have reached.
- Filing logistics. We provide a filing packet with signature, copy, and filing instructions. At your direction, we can handle e-filing, courier filing, and proof of service preparation.
- Hearing and post-hearing documents. We prepare a hearing packet and checklist of items to bring, and, after the hearing, the proposed judgment as the court directs, a request for certified copies, and a checklist for updating records such as name and benefits records.
Optional add-ons (additional fees will apply):
- Name restoration request within the judgment
- Property or support orders following the annulment, prepared from information you provide
- Religious annulment documentation. A church annulment is separate from a civil one and is handled by the religious authority. We can assemble a civil judgment copy for your own submission, but we do not prepare religious tribunal filings.
